The 1st letters "VEB" means "Volkseigener Betrieb" - Business/factory owned by the people (which it wasn´t of course, it was gov. owned) , the next letters I dont know but the last word is pretty much "Pasewalk", a large town nearby |

Brüssow 2008. From 1898 - 1991 trains stopped here. (google "Prenzlauer Kreisbahn") Fortunately some RR Buffs bought the station and transformed it in a weekeend retreat. Unfortunately I didn´t ask the owners about the history of the US-car standing left behind the little switcher. (see other pics). But at least I took some pics from it. |
